Yoga Mekhala


Mekhala is a Singapore based Sivananda Yoga Teacher and a student of Buddhism. She has been practising Sivananda Yoga since 2007 and Vipassana Meditation since 2009.

What is Sivananda Yoga?

Sivananda Yoga is a classical form of Yoga practise. We will always practise 3 areas in all our classes.

1) Pranayama (Breathing Exercise)

2) Asana (Poses)

3) Final Relaxation

We believe all the above 3 areas of practise are indispensable in building a strong vitality in both our body and mind.

In the class, Mekhala will also share five points of yoga (where you can practise off the mat.)

2) Proper Relaxation

3) Proper Exercise

4) Proper Diet

5) Positive Thinking and Meditation

Sivananda Yoga is a practise that focuses a lot on building of self awareness through the faculty of our body.

Mekhala is very grateful for the practise and she hopes to be able to share with more people about the wonders of our body and mind.

Mekhala is avaliable to teach both PRIVATE and CORPORATE classes. Beginners and Intermediate levels.

She is also offering Chair Yoga and Back Recovery Yoga for those with more specialized needs. Her Chair Yoga and Back Recovery Yoga are both modified from the system of Sivananda Yoga.
