A creative and performing arts company, What Box Studios is dedicated to bringing awareness of the everyday boxes we live in and perpetuate, and to drive people to discover the choice they have in breaking, or (better yet) creating the mould.

The name was a reference to the saying, "Think outside the box". The question was: could a person conceivably think outside the box, without first knowing what the box was? Thus, a large part of our mission was to help people to learn to identify the "boxes" that they were operating in, the reasons for their existence and, eventually, what they wished to do with the box.
