After 2 to 3 such competitions, many locals became interested in Beat boxing and thus the era of Beat boxing started. Beatbox Singapore became famous in short time. People started using YouTube and other social media platforms to learn and perform Beat boxing. After that many other competitions were organized and people became more interested in Beat boxing. Thus it can be said that Singapore beatbox championship is the pioneer of beat box. After that it became famous at other places.

What is Beatbox?

Beat boxing is the art of making the vocal drumming and other musical sounds with the help of lips, tongue, teeth and lips. It is the form of vocal percussion. It is a kind of musical art which combines the beats, rhythms and melodies. All these are used with the human mouth. This art is very creative as the sound of musical instruments is made from mouth. The musical instruments whose sound can be made in Beat boxing are scratching, trumpet and many more. It can also be taken to higher level by including singing in the art. But for including singing along with sounds, higher level of practice is needed. It is the type of instrument that involves many music genres. Beat boxing is also known as vocal percussion in A-capella scene. For many years it has been used in A-capella groups.
