This was my second 'pouch sewing class'. The first was at Fashion maker space, about a year ago. No complaints abut the trainer. There was one other person there; a co-owner who kept looking at her watch and muttering under her breath "so slow; can we finish on time?". Not least she was a heavy smoker and the smell when she came near was quite suffocating! Seems she had an appointment in town and she rushed us out with 10 minutes to spare! I did not go for any sewing workshop after this as it really left a bitter taste in my mouth!
On the spur of the moment, i signed up for this workshop at Sewing Club SG. Complete contrast to Fashion Maker Space. I was warmly welcomed. When I commented that it took so long to complete one item and it was okay with me not to start on the second item, the trainer responded that she is fine to stay and complete it. Told me to relax and just enjoy the process! The trainer,is highly skilled in her craft, very patient. She very clearly loves to sew and teach. I have since made two pouches at home! I will definitely consider other workshops by Sewing Club SG and highly recommend it to anyone who wants to learn sewing.
