I started scale modeling in 1988. Even after spending lots of time and money on plastic kits and books, I was still unable to attain the standard I wanted. It was only in 1998 that I managed to learn the proper techniques from a master. And in 1999, I won my first modeling award during Tamiya(Singapore) Modelling Competition (Diorama - GOLD, AFV - SILVER).

But the award came after a decade of futile effort, blood and sweat, when all I needed was a year of proper coaching. I believe I am not the only one facing this problem. That is why I formed M Academy. My wish is for everyone who loves the art of modeling to achieve the necessary skills without spending unnecessary time and money. This, as I myself experienced, is possible through proper coaching.

At M Workshop, I hope to introduce scale modeling not just as leisure hobby but also as fine art. Exaggerating? No. Scale modeling is not just another simple hobby. It requires fine painting, close study of the three-dimensional form, sculpting and even research into the history and culture of the chosen subject. Each model painted is truly an endeavor in art.
