Fun and rewarding experience
It was well planned and Jacob the instructor was clear and helpful.
It would have helped to have been shown how embossing worked before the start of hands on session as I could have planned how to decorate the items a bit more.

Very basic
There could have more guidance along the way and they could have provided bigger pieces of leather for us to choose rather than choosing from scraps which are some too small to even make anything even we the material.

Fun activity
Very affordable class and easy to follow. We were given a quick tutorial on how to cut leather safely and properly. Then the instructor did a demo on how to make a pouch. After which, we had all the freedom to pick the leather we want to use and work on our mini projects. Clear-cut and fun evening :)

Learn fr a teacher who is passionate abt the craft

Alright but weird
The lesson was alright. I am happy with what I got to make and bring home. But, it felt weird that we were left unsupervised after the short live demo. You get templates to share and each person has his/hers own set of tools. The crafts are relatively easy to do. After the live demo (of just one item), you're basically on your own to finish your leather crafts in a specific time frame. You can make as many items within the stipulated time - as long as you can find suitable pieces of leather to make the items. (Yes, you're provided with scrap leather pieces.) Staff was accommodating and extended the time as there were many participants. There were instances where I felt it was a lot of trial and error - especially with getting the hardware into the leather. However, staff did say we could shout for them to come and help us. I guess, I was just expecting a workshop-style workshop for beginners and not craft-time for people with certain amount of knowledge about leather crafting or just crafting for that fact. In retrospect, you kinda do get what you paid for - don't expect much.

Good beginner handson class
We got to make and bring home our self made origami based leather goods (no sew). It's a good introductory class with the teacher showing a demo once and giving some pointers. They also offer really good suggestions on what to make. We got to customize our goods with the different leathers and also then name engraving.

A Worthy Sequel
Once again, I was very pleased with my leathercraft lesson I had with Jeffrey. After the very fun last lesson I went again the next day (yes, the very next day) to have a go at the intermediate lesson Stone For Gold had to offer, which revolved mainly around the fairly complicated but extremely satisfying task of stitching. While the overall experience was the same as my last lesson review (you can look at my review at the Leather For Beginners lesson), I'd also like to add that the workshop has a very appropriate and appealing rustic quality to it, further adding to the lesson(s), and of course Jeffrey was once again very helpful and approachable. I recommend you take the beginners' lesson first, but do sign up straight away for this sequel lesson, since you learn stitching, something that not only is used in leathercraft, but is also a skill that is used the world over, and one that I had never learned but I'm happy that I have.

A Fascinating Lesson
I'd never done any form of leathercraft before, nor had I ever even considered it as a hobby for myself. However, boredom drew me to it, and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised, mainly due to the unknown amount of interesting skill and terminology there is to learn, but also due to the very amiable instructor, Jeffrey. A couple of hours is all it took to learn the very basics of a very intricate skill that I am sure I will keep for life, as well as knowledge on the topic that I'm sure will come in handy later on in life. Jeffrey was very thorough and passionate during the lesson, making for intriguing conversation on the level of skill involved in leathercraft, mainly because he was patient and up for answering any and all of my incessant questions. I highly recommend you give this lesson a try, you'll learn some valuable information and skill, and have fun doing it.

Therapeutic session

Addictive hands-on!

Detailed instruction provided and nice environment
Attended the workshop today, really enjoyed the process of making my own cardholder.
The fun part of the workshop is choosing the leather of my choice and cutting the the shape of it. Initially i thought it will be tedious to cut the leather but jeff taught me the skill to cut the leather with ease. They are very fun easy going people, the steps to doing are delivered very detailed. To add on, I can emboss my initial after finishing. I had a hard time deciding which leather i should go for for my cardholder. Stone is very helpful with helping me pick up and explain which leather is a better fit as well providing me with info in identifying different types of leather. I had many questions which they are extremely patient with explaining them to me. Excellent service, worth a go for people who are keen in DIY and of cause to learn more skills!

Easy to pick with the guidance of Stone and Jeff
I have never tried any leather craft work however i came across this workshop for beginners. I thought it will be difficult considering the fact that i do not have any foundation on such crafts. The instructors are very passionate and guided me step by step. Also they are thoughtful and caring, guiding me on the techniques to cut the leather. They have a wide variety of leathers to choose from, the classroom is also cozy. They have a adorable cat in the studio too!

Patient instructor
The instructors (stone& jeff) are very fun to work with. very helpful and patient in terms of explaining my quaries on the leathers that we can choose from. The studio also have a nice ambiance. Looking forward to attending other leather craft workshop!

Superb lesson!
The instructor is kind and friendly! Had a lot of fun during lesson and the instructor, Lawrence was quite patient with us, constantly guiding us to ensure our end products look great! He is quite knowledgable and skilful on his field and I will definitely recommend people to go for his leather crafting worship!
