Louis Tan an avid Chinese Calligraphy practitioner for 30 years. He was introduced to this art by his mother and later learnt officially in Tuan Mong High School in 1981. His 楷书was taught by 曾广纬 then and won 2^nd price in National School competition in 1982 then. In 1996, he learnt行书from 邱少华in the NUS – Department of Extramural studies. His works had been selected for outstanding work display by the Singapore Art Society, during the Dr Tan Tsze Chor Art Awards for 2015, 16 ,17&18. Louis Tan holds a Master’s Degree in Communication Software Management and B.Eng in Mechanical Engineering. He is an instructor register with MOE and proficient to conduct class in English and Mandarin.
