Welcome to the website of the Brahma Kumaris Raja Yoga Centre, Singapore.

The centre in Singapore started in 1980 in the neighborhood of Katong and was registered a year later. It started off with a couple of volunteer teachers and a handful of students. Although interest in meditation was relatively low in the early 80’s, with some advertising, participation in the Singapore Book Fair and other Holistic Fairs, talks being organised, the centre gradually came to be known as a resource for meditation and self development. With interest in meditation growing in the 90"s , more centers were opened-initially in Outram Park and later in the Holland Road and Thomson areas with local volunteer teachers.

With the understanding that there is intrinsic spirituality and goodness in every human being, we help people to go on a journey of self-discovery and reawaken that goodness within them. Over the years thousands have taken up meditation and other courses offered by the centre, attended talks and workshops or gone to many of the annual talks organised by the Centre with visiting seniors. An event at the Harbour Pavilion in 1997 with Dadi Janki, currently the Head of the International organisation drew an audience of 4000.

Teachers and students from the Centre also visit community clubs and organizations, prisons, hospitals, schools and business organizations providing tuition in personal-skills development, meditation and team-work through workshops, seminars and lectures. Some of the organization, companies and clubs who have invited Brahma Kumaris Raja Yoga Centre include National Library Board ( Wellness Programs ), Singapore Tourist Promotion Board, Nanyang and Singapore Polytechnic, National Semiconductors, Land Transport Authority, Reuters, Woodbridge Hospital, Tan Tock Seng Hospital, Changi Beach Club, APMC Network, SANA, SINDA, National Computer Board, Great Eastern Life, NUS Hindu Society, AWWA, Kebun Baru CC, Thomson CC, Mandarin Gardens Residents Committee, Ramakrishna Mission, Alexandra Hospital, Jelutong Community Centre among many others.
