Established in 2007, Karen Lucas Photography (formerly Baobab Photo) is one of Singapore's leading Photography Schools, with a step-by-step, hands-on learning program, and expert instruction from professional photographer Karen Lucas who has a rare talent for explaining both technical and creative concepts in an easy-to-understand manner.

We keep our photography class sizes small (max 8 students) to maximize your learning and provide practical one-to-one coaching. Our information-packed classes are continually updated to cover the latest technologies, and are supported with comprehensive handouts. Our Workshops are multidimensional, featuring exciting on-location components where participants apply new skills in real life shooting conditions. We cater to all levels of photographer starting with the fundamentals in our very popular Beginners Photography Workshop and then building on those skills in the Intermediate and Advanced Photography Workshops and special-interest Workshops and Tours.

Our award-winning photography instructor, Karen Lucas, has a wealth of experience in various fields, including Commercial, Editorial, Travel and Portrait Photography and has developed a unique vision and style whilst studying with some of the top British and American Photographers. Karen is familiar with all the leading brands of cameras and welcomes both DSLR owners and those using compact cameras with advanced functionality.
