Art Glass Katong
Art Glass Katong offers educational programs to those interested to learn more about creative practice, art glass and glass making techniques.
We offer private tuition sessions and team building workshops with a focus on kiln forming, lamp working and Glass blowing. From time to time we invite international artists to work within our Singapore studio as "Artist in Residence" to research and develop their personal artworks as well as conduct specialist workshops for a limited time during their creative residency.
Art Glass Katong strives to nurture local talent and facilitate the growth of an art glass community in Singapore.

Engagingly educational
Jane is extremely knowledgable, with over 30 years of experience in creating beautiful glass pieces as well as making glass. She made the workshop fun and engaging with stories, factual tidbits while keeping an eye out for our safety.
Tip, follow Jane's advice: wear covered shoes, long pants, long sleeve shirt and - bring a lot of water (estimated 1.5 litres per person)..... glass melts at very high temperatures.

Satisfying
This was a very HOT and tiring craft but it was all worth it when I was able to make my own tumbler with patient instruction but minimal hand-holding from the instructor. That made the product even more satisfying! An eye-opening experience for sure.
