Terriss Chooi, former President of Archery Training Centre and Principal of Universal Archery, joins HomeTeamNS Archery Club with his Team “ARCHERY FORCES” as their approved training provider

It is not impossible to split an arrow or hit a distanced target with deadly accuracy. One does not have to be very strong to take up archery nor need to engage lots of strength, as bows are available in various sizes and weights to match each individual. So whether you are 8 or 80 years old, archery can be a fascinating, relaxing and meditative sport for you, engaging both the mind and spirit (as in Zen Archery).

The National Archery Association of USA has awarded Terriss the highest possible certificate, USA Archery Level 4 National Coach, in its coaching program and he is the most qualified archery coach in South East Asia since 1996. He also holds a NROC Level 3 Master Coach certification from the Singapore Sports Council and is the World Archery Level 2 Coach. In 2013, Terriss became Singapore’s World Archery Coach Trainer and trained his first team of Archery Coaches in Vietnam, last year.

During his competitive years, Terriss has represented Singapore in many local and overseas competitions where he emerged as champion. He fondly recalls his best event at the 1995 SEA Games where he surpassed the best archer from Indonesia for the #1 spot in the quarterfinals.
