Anjali Design
Anjali Venkat is a glass artist with an eclectic sense of art and design. Incorporating the unusual into her work, she tries to give a new twist to the ordinary in every one of her pieces. Blessed with the opportunity to travel the world, she takes inspiration from the sights, colours, crafts, and people around the world.
She constantly tries to learn new techniques and incorporate them into her evolving artistic arsenal. She has trained in Traditional Glass Mosaic at Ravenna (Italy), Hot glass work at the Corning Museum of Glass (New York), Glass blowing at Oslo (Norway), and Tiffany-style lamp making at Perth (Australia). Currently, the techniques she practices involve the use of mosaic, kiln-formed glass, Up-cycled glass bottles, as well as other media like wood, paper and plastic.
Anjali is a dedicated teacher, conducting workshops in all these techniques for anyone interested. Her studio, located in Kallang, is a hub of creativity, imagination and productivity. While she uses the space primarily to display her works and interact with clients, the studio also serves as a workshop where students can unleash their creativity through glass. There is no substitute for hard work when it comes to working with the medium of glass, and Anjali is ready to show you the ropes and get you started on an artistic journey.

Fantastic experience - MUST TRY !
She got in touch weeks before the scheduled class to get my boyfriend and I to think about our designs. In the class, after initial demonstrations, Anjali gave us enough time and material to practice basic skills before we began creating our own pieces on the glass sheets we chose out of a wide variety available at her studio. It was just two of us (she keeps her classes small) so we got to ask as many questions as we wanted to. After the scheduled four classes, she even got us to return for another hour for free as our slightly ambitious designs required extra time.
Every bit of the work was done by ourselves with some help from Anjali when required. I learnt a lot about glass art outside stained glass as she has experiences across many different types of glass work.
Anjali is not only a passionate artist but is an experienced instructor.
I really admire her for her energy and dedication to her work and how enthusiastic she is about sharing her talent through workshops and community service. I've recommended to many around me, and I would love to return for more classes.
