Canvass

A holding space of light, creativity and discoveries for children (and adults alike), CANVASS is a nurturing environment for self-growth, development, mental and physical well-being.

Today’s little ones are tomorrow’s leaders and the future generation – we’re here to help them connect with their true self and find their groove.

When you have a clear sense of who you are and what you believe in, you’re not shackled by the opinion of others. Instead the self-assurance and confidence allow you to tackle and manage problems, pressures or stress; and that also motivates you to actualise potential.

The clarity of your self-identity also changes the way you connect with others. Your broadening perspectives gain you better understanding of situations. Consequently, it influences the way you interact with people. You’re able to engage with others in a manner that is true to yourself – confident and not dependently – yet with compassion and unity. As such, connection is expansive: Harmonious, not divisive.

At CANVASS we believe that self-discovery sparks the potential in everyone to be that greater empowering difference in life. That’s our vision really: A movement of transformation, in definitive ways.

Connection is the key in everyone’s transformational journey. It’s when mind, body and emotions are in sync that you have a sense of your true self and are more mindful and aware of infinite possibilities and solutions. That is empowering.

At CANVASS, we believe in the practice of yoga and art, because they engage one’s mind, body and soul, holistically. Mental as they are physical, they emphasise process and form – all of which requires focus and concentration. Disciplines that hone observational learning, they involve all your senses from sight, sound, touch and taste even. Once you’re more aware and centred, you’re better able to keep calm and stabilise your emotions and feelings. That connection gives you newfound clarity of who you are; and in relation to the world around you.

We support your self-development in several but complementary ways. The first is our special learning approach that sharpens the individual strengths and authentic expressions of each student. But we also make it more enriching and inspiring by bringing in community artists, therapists, designers and leaders of charity organisations who have stories and ideas to share.

Familial support is just as important. Parents are likely the first role-models a child has. And to relate to your kid better, sometimes you need to find your own inner-child. Then can both engage with the same ease and child-like wonderment of things. Our classes and community-building projects are activities that the family can do together, to strengthen the parent-child or sibling bonds.
