At BYCH Hot Yoga, we believe in discipline, hard work and integrity. We focus on the physical form of each yoga posture, practicing with precision and intensity. We do not compromise the form of the postures. Every detail of the postures is emphasized, and we work the whole body efficiently-every muscle, tissue, organ and bone-so that it heals and performs at its optimal level. Practicing traditional hot yoga at BYCH Hot Yoga also builds mental focus and concentration, stilling the mind ind increasing its awareness. Our intense yoga practice is a form of physical meditation.

GENERAL TIPS, ETIQUETTE AND POLICIES

Make sure you:

  • Have a near-empty stomach—don’t eat 2 to 3 hours before class.
  • Are properly hydrated—drink plenty of water throughout the day.

What to wear and bring:

  • Wear light and fitted clothes—we need to see your knees!
  • Sport bras, shorts or tankinis are recommended for the ladies.
  • Biker shorts are ideal for gentlemen, or Speedos if you are racy enough.
  • Avoid long sweat pants and heavy t-shirts (our room is heated to 40ºC!).
  • Running shorts or loose-hemmed shorts are not allowed in the yoga rooms.
  • Yoga mats and bath towels are provided to members only.
  • Non-members are welcome to bring your own yoga mat and towels. Rentals are available for your convenience at the studio.
  • Have a padlock to secure your personal belongings in a locker

First timers, it’s good to:

  • Arrive 25 minutes before class to complete your registration.
  • Remember, your goal is to stay in the room for the whole 90 minutes.
  • Sit down when you need to.
  • Know that feeling dizzy, nauseous or lightheaded is normal when you first start.
  • Not feel self-conscious; practitioners are focusing on themselves.
  • Take your second class within 24 hours, even if you are aching from your first class.
  • Drink plenty of water after class.

Policies

  • Students must sign in at front desk before entering dressing room.
  • Arrive 20 minutes before class—there will be no late admissions.
  • Please advise us of any medical conditions before class.
  • Remain in the room for the whole 90 minutes to acclimate to the heat.
  • Mobile phones are not permitted in the yoga room
  • Keep our studio perfume and footwear free. Heavy smokers, please shower before class.
  • Ask questions either before or after class, not during class.
  • Only plain bottled water is allowed in the yoga room. Flavored drinks are to be consumed outside the yoga room.
  • Rates are subject to change. No refunds.
  • Lost and found items will be held for one week
